The RCMJD is seeking to engage accomplished cello, violin and trumpet teachers to join our vibrant and thriving department. Experience and demonstrable success in teaching beginners is necessary.

We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:

– You should be a widely recognised and highly respected practitioner, either as a performer or teacher.

– Proven success and relevant experience of teaching beginner instrumental learners.

– Experience of teaching in a specialist music school and/or nationally recognised access programme.

– Relevant experience teaching online on either MS Teams, Zoom or other platforms.

We expect to be able to offer a minimum of 2 hours teaching per week, for approximately 30 weeks per year. Up to 7 hours of teaching per week may be available, depending on scheduling and timetable considerations for next academic year.

The role is available from September 2021 and the successful candidates will need to make a regular commitment to the RCMJD on Saturdays during term-time.
