The audition will take place: Sunday May 14th 2023 from 10AM at The Royal Danish Academy, ‘Studiescenen‘, Rosenørns Allé 22, Frederiksberg, DK

REPERTOIRE
1st round:
Haydn Cello Concerto No.2 D major, Hob.VIIb:2, 1st mvt with cadenza.
Orchestral excerpts

2nd round:
1st mvt of one of the following:
Dvorak or Schumann (no cadenzas)
Orchestral excerpts

Excerpts to be played:
– Beethoven Symphony no.5 2nd mvt
– Beethoven Symphony no.8 3rd mvt
– Brahms Symphony no.2 2nd mvt
– Smetana, The Bartered Bride, Ouverture
– Strauss, Don Juan
– Wagner, Tristan & Isolde, Prelude

Candidates must be prepared to submit a youtube link with Haydn Cello Concerto no.2, D major, Hob.VIIb:2 1st mvt with cadenza
(recorded w. piano accompaniment).

Orchestral excerpts will be sent electronically app.5 weeks before the audition. An accompanist will be available at the audition. Applicants are responsible for expenses regarding both travel and rehearsal.

 Salary and conditions of employment negotiable with current agreement for musicians in the Danish Regional Orchestras (‘LandsdelsOrkestrene’). Employment of non-EU residents is contingent upon the attainment of a valid work and residence permit. Applicants are responsible for expenses incurred in the attainment of such permits

After sending the registration form you will receive an auto-reply by email in which you can see your answers and the option to edit them if necessary

April 11th 2023: All candidates will receive a result on the application and whether they have been invited directly to the 1st round or must send a ‘youtube link’ with the 1st round repertoire. All invited applicants will also receive the orchestral excerpts

April 18th 2023 12noon: Deadline for candidates that were asked to make a video

April 21st 2023: YouTube link-candidates will be informed if they have been invited to 1st round
