The General Manager of the Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina announces audition for the following position:

Cello – assistant concertmaster (maternity leave cover)

The audition will take place on:
Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 2.00 PM at the Fatra House of Arts in Žilina

Commencing Salary from 1.400,- Eur gross (due to contestants’ professional experience)

– Cello concerto of the Classical period (slow and fast movements including cadenzas)
– J. S. Bach: Cello Suites (one movement of your choice)
– Romantic cello concerto – fast movement

A. Corelli: Concerto grosso, Op. 6 No. 2, 2nd movement Allegro
W. A. Mozart: Symphony No. 41 in C major, K. 551 “Jupiter“ – 1st and 4th movement
L. van Beethoven: Symphony No. 5 in c minor – 2nd movement
L. van Beethoven: Symphony No. 8 in F major – 3rd movement
L. van Beethoven: Overture Coriolan, Op. 62
F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy: Symphony No. 4 in A major “Italian“ – 4th movement
J. Brahms: Piano Concerto No. 2 in B flat major, Op. 83 – 3rd movement
A. Dvořák: Czech suite – Furiant
C. Franck: Panis angelicus – solo
J. Cikker: Memories – 3rd movement
