Spark! School of Performing Arts is seeking a Music Teacher (Cello Specialist), to join its team for the 2023-2024 Academic Year, commencing end of August 2023, in the Cayman Islands.
Key Responsibilities:
-Teach Cello, plus strings and/or piano to students of various ages and learning styles, in large, small, and/or one-on-one situations;
-Develop, plan, prepare, and implement music course content.
Requirements:
-Undergraduate degree with Cello specialty;
-Ability to teach advanced Cello students standard repertoire;
-Ability to teach at least one other instrument;
-Experience in preparing students for qualifications from external examination boards, e.g. Trinity College London, is preferable;
-Effective instruction with creative and innovative ideas;
-High expectations for the learning and achievements of students;
-Excellent communication and organizational skills;
-An engaging personality and the ability to support students from a wide range of backgrounds.
The salary range for this position is $43,000-$54,000 USD per annum and will be commensurate with hours of full-time employment and qualifications/experience. Other benefits include health insurance and contribution to a pension plan.
