The Cape Symphony is seeking musicians who possess a high level of technical mastery, musical imagination, and entrepreneurial vision to help us evolve classical music for a new generation. The Cape Symphony is one of the fastest growing and largest budgeted orchestras in the region. At the Cape Symphony, our mission is to “Inspire Joy.”

The Cape Symphony is a per-service orchestra; section rate for 2021–22 is $121.34 per service. For the 2022–23 season, there will be 5 Masterpiece concerts with 4 rehearsals and 2 concerts each, 4 Pops concerts with 1–2 rehearsals and 2–6 concerts each, 2 educational programs, a New Year’s Day concert, and other special events throughout the year, including summer programs. Individual assignments are made according to the needs of each program. Qualified candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. Audition finalists may be asked to perform with the orchestra in a trial period. The winning candidate may become a tenured member after a probationary period.

The live audition will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 beginning at 10am at the Cape Symphony Falmouth Campus: 60 Highfield Dr, Falmouth, MA 02540.

If selected for the audition, you will be asked to send a $50 refundable check to 1060 Falmouth Rd, Suite A, Hyannis, MA 02601.
