JOENSUU CITY ORCHESTRA – FINLAND

The Joensuu City Orchestra with its 35 musicians is an energetic ensemble with a varied repertoire. Its home venue is the Carelia Hall. Artistic partners are Minna Pensola and Antti Tikkanen.

OPEN VACANCY – SOLO CELLO

Audition date Saturday November 5th 2022 at 1 p.m.

Place Joensuu Conservatory Concert Hall, Yliopistokatu 4, 80100 JOENSUU

Set of works

1. Haydn: Cello Concerto No. 2 in D Major, 1st and 2nd movement with cadenza
2. First movement from Cello concertos by Dvorak or Schumann
3. Orchestral excerpts

The invitation and set of works will be sent after the closing date. Please remember to say whether or not you wish to use our pianist in application. Use of own accompanist by your own expenses is also allowed.

Job-specific salary 3100€-3348€ + possible adds. Terms of employment are determined in accordance with the municipal general employment contract (KVTES) and Musicians unions agreement law (MuusikkoTes). Starting date of employment is January 9th 2023 or as agreed. The audition includes an interview. The job includes 6 months trial period.
