Vaasa City Orchestra is holding an audition to cover position Cello player (tutti), a permanent position starting on 1.9.2022 or according to agreement.

Date of Audition and Venue: Thu 12.5.2022 starting approximately at 11 in Vaasa City Hall, Senaatinkatu 1, 65100 Vaasa. The exact time will be announced later. After the application due date, selected candidates will receive an email invitation to the audition. A pianist is available at the audition; however, the applicant may use a personal pianist at his or her own expense.

Audition materials:

– 1st movement from Haydn’s Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in D major and cadenza of your choice​
– 1st movement of one of the following concertos: Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B minor or Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor
