Through the generosity of many in the CelloBello community, our first online auction promises to have a unique collection of cellistic & musical gems. From personalized, autographed rare recordings by Yo-Yo Ma and the Cleveland Quartet to custom-made artwork, to masterclasses and lessons with prominent cellists, and even a virtual cocktail class by a member of one of the world’s leading orchestras… there truly is something for everyone. All proceeds from this auction will help support CelloBello.org and all of its programs and resources. Hosted by Charity Auctions Today, bidding will open at noon on Friday, October 1, 2021.

CelloChat: Christopher Costanza

For over three decades, cellist Christopher Costanza has enjoyed a varied and exciting career as a soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. A winner of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions and a recipient of a prestigious Solo Recitalists Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, Mr. Costanza has performed to wide critical acclaim in nearly every state in the U.S., and internationally. His summer festival appearances include the Marlboro, Yellow Barn, Santa Fe, Taos, Chamber Music Northwest, and other festivals. Mr. Costanza is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, where he studied cello with Laurence Lesser, David Wells, and Bernard Greenhouse, and chamber music with Eugene Lehner, Louis Krasner, and Leonard Shure.

Join us online or in-person for the 2021 CelloBello Gala! This yearly fundraising concert will celebrate our Founder and Artistic Director Paul Katz’s 80th Birthday and will bring together a star-studded cast of performers who have been impacted by Paul’s teaching, coaching, and collegiality across his career. CelloBello’s 2021 Gala will be a hybrid event. You can join us in person at Burnes Hall on the campus of Boston’s New England Conservatory, followed by a reception at SRV restaurant, one of Boston’s finest. Otherwise, you can join us from anywhere in the world via the livestream event, which will be viewable on demand for up to 72 hours after the event.
