CelloChat: Julie Sévilla-Fraysse – Finding One’s Musical Identity

Virtual Event Virtual Event

The enchanting resonance of Julie Sévilla Fraysse's cello explores all shores, genres, and epochs, adopting various forms to magnify the essence. She thus embodies classical excellence, elegance, and French modernity. Julie, a bold woman, seeks the stage, that timeless moment where music pauses, silence prevails, and time suspends gracefully. Her passion is to share her music, regardless of partners or context; what motivates her is to offer and be heard in her artistic expression. Listening to Julie is to discover alternative perspectives of beauty, to hear a woman's choice for her independence, a desire that transcends both her personal life and its impact on others. After being a core member of the Republican Guard Orchestra and then the Paris Opera Orchestra, Julie now dedicates herself to her solo career. Her creative spirit and strong desire for expression lead her to regularly perform solo concerts in various venues and festivals in France and internationally (Pablo Casals Festival in Prades, Rosey Concert Hall in Switzerland, Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva, Gustave Eiffel Salon in Paris, French Embassy in Washington, French House in New York, French Alliance in Malta, etc.). She has already played the major concertos with the Republican Guard Orchestra, the Toulon Opera Orchestra, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Morocco, and also performs solo programs around J.S Bach and folk music.
