The V George Gershwin Competition for Piano, Strings, and Chamber Ensembles will take place June 7-15, 2022 in New York City.
Competition will be presented in 3 age categories: 8-12, 13-17, and 18-38.
Prizes: $5,000 – Grand Prix; I Prize – $2,000 – in each instrumental category.
Repertoire: Free choice.
Special Prize for the best performance of Gershwin’s work – $1,000.
3 Rounds: Preliminary, Semifinal & Final
Preliminary selection by video OR Live in New York – March 16.
Semifinal and Final are Live in June in New York City.
Jury: Olga Kern, Jerome Lowenthal, Pablo Galdo, Albert Markov, and other musicians.
