Because it is essential to start out on quality instruments, the Conservatoire & Orchestre de Caen, thanks to the Appassionato club of patrons, has acquired an exceptional instrument and every three years offers a young cellist the chance to play it for two years. The winner will also have the chance to perform in public during the next two Seasons, in a recital and a concerto.
To apply, cellists must :
– be born before 1 January 2009 ;
– be in higher education (CNSMD, Pôle Supérieur, Hochschule or equivalent, or at least at an advanced stage of professional development at a regional conservatoire);
– be a national or resident of one of the countries of the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.
Applications opened on 15 January and will close on 15 February 2024,
