Junior Academy offers outstanding tuition to young, talented musicians on Saturdays during term time at Royal Academy of Music. First String Experience (FSE) is a long-established first access musicianship and bowed string teaching programme for 4 to 7 year olds.

We seek to offer part-time, term-time only paid FSE fellowships to support the teaching of upper and lower strings to small groups each Saturday.

The Fellows will also be responsible for delivering and assisting with the development of the new Community First Strings Experience (CFSE), which will take the FSE programme into two London primary schools from September 2021 over a three-year period.

The successful applicants will provide expertise in the area of violin, viola or cello, integrated with musicianship teaching from the earliest stages of learning.

Please indicate on your application statement if you would be interested in FSE, CFSE or both.

A recruitment pack can be downloaded from www.ram.ac.uk/jobs.

Completed applications must be received by 10am on Monday 6 September 2021.

Interviews will be held onsite at the Academy on Friday 10 September 2021.

The Academy is committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all students.
