PROJECT INCLUSION STRING FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
A unique paid opportunity for string players aged 18 – 29 from diverse backgrounds historically underrepresented in the orchestral field (African American, Native American, Latinx, for example). Fellows rehearse and perform with the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus and receive professional training and mentorship, perform weekly chamber concerts as a quartet in neighborhoods throughout Chicago, and professional development with industry professionals.
Four Available Fellowships: Violin (2), Viola, Cello
Dates: June 1 – July 25, 2020
Stipend: $6,800 US (approx. based on rehearsal/performance schedule)
VIDEO DEADLINE: February 17, 2020
Finalist Audition: March 20, 2020 (in Chicago)
