Dajos Bela was a jazz violinist and dance band leader, heard on this recording with the legendary Gregor Piatigorsky. Les Millions d’Arlequin (translated as Harlequin’s Millions), also known as Harlequinade, is a ballet comique in two acts created by Marius Petipa, with music composed by Riccardo Drigo. The ballet’s first act features the Sérénade, which became a popular piece and has been adapted for various instruments and recorded multiple times.
