Greenhouse speaks of the importance of making music, regardless of technical ability. Not every musician can achieve the technical prowess of renowned players like a Rostropovich or Yo-Yo Ma, yet there are countless meaningful ways to express oneself through music.

Greenhouse shares his pride in having taught 600 to 700 students, and expresses great satisfaction in the lasting impact his students have made in the world of music. While he respects those who pursue music as a hobby alongside other careers, he is particularly proud of students who have remained dedicated to music as a profession. He believes that playing for love, fulfillment, and self-expression can lead to a meaningful and enriching life, regardless of whether one has had a formal career.
