Our CelloKids classes utilize a unique curriculum that fuses the Dalcroze Method with musicianship on the cello. In these classes, we will relate movement experiences and musical concepts together so that students begin to understand these ideas in an organic way. This curriculum is being pioneered and co-taught by Horacio Contreras, Jeremy Dittus, and Andrea Yun. Classes will be offered in both English and Spanish.
Cellist Han Bin Yoon has captivated audiences internationally with his emotional performances and rich tone. A top prize winner at the Young Concert Artist International Auditions and the International Schoenfeld Cello Competition in Hong Kong, he has been praised by La Libre Belgique for his “superb resonances, deployed with elegance and a zest of sentimentality.”
You may notice that CelloBello looks a little different right now, and that new content and updates have temporarily slowed. That’s intentional: behind the scenes, we are carefully preparing for CelloBello’s next chapter as part of Chamber Music America.
Our priority during this transition is to thoughtfully preserve the remarkable resources, knowledge, and community that CelloBello has built over the years while preparing a new home that will extend its reach and connect it to CMA’s national community of musicians, ensembles, educators, presenters, and advocates.
