Durston House (Ealing W5 2DR), Boys’ school – age 4-13. www.durstonhouse.org
– Current teaching rate is £27.00 per 30 min. lesson (5 min transition between lessons)
– VMTs have a contract with the school and with parents, VMTs are paid directly by parents
– VMTs create their own timetables on a rotation basis
– VMTs collect younger pupils for cello lessons from their classrooms. Older students are encouraged to come to lessons by themselves
– Currently, there are 6 pupils learning cello, but one of pupils is Year 8 boy, so he is leaving at the end of this year. Generally, the number of pupils can change.
– If a VMT teaching a few hours a day, the school provides lunch
– VMTs need to be willing to run ensemble (paid), if necessary
