The Swedish Chamber Orchestra, chief conductor Martin Fröst, is a full-time ensemble of 39 players based in the city of Örebro (two hours west of Stockholm by car or by train). The orchestra has its home in the Örebro Concert Hall, where each member of the orchestra has a private practice room. The orchestra gives some 90 concerts a year including national and international touring (Lincoln Center, BBC Proms, Salzburger Festspiele, Europe and Japan etc). The orchestra records for BIS, Sony Classics, Naxos, Hyperion, SIMAX, Chandos etc.
Audition 1st round
The first round is digital. Please send your CV and recording by email Monday 13th of March 8:00 am at the latest. Please carefully read our recording instructions on our website. No special form for the application is needed.

Audition 2nd round
The second round which consists of solo and ensemble repertoire together with orchestral excerpts will take place in Örebro 1st of June. Applicants for the second round will get a personal invitation 14th of April at the latest.
