
Geneva International Music Competition – CELLO 2021
Overview
The 75th Geneva International Music Competition is offering cello & oboe and is open to all candidates born after 29 October 1991. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, the first part of the 2021 edition will be held online. Selected candidates have until August 15th to submit their video recordings of the Online Recital, which will be streamed virtually mid-September. Candidates qualified for the Semi-Finals will be invited to pursue the competition from October 23rd in Geneva, Switzerland. The Final round of the Cello Competition will be held on 28 October at Victoria Hall with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, conducted by Georg Fritzsch.
37 cellists aged 15 to 30 years old from 19 nationalities have been selected to take part in the 75th Geneva International Music Competition. Selected candidates have until August 15th to submit their video recordings of the Online Recital, which will be streamed virtually mid-September.
