The ICO guarantees a minimum of ten monthly freelance contracts each year – each month generally comprises of five to eight days depending on the number of concerts. Each monthly retainer includes payment for five rehearsals. All rehearsals take place at the ICO Studio in the University of Limerick.
The orchestral diary is finalised 3 months in advance, although in practice dates are notified up to a year in advance.
