The Lahti Symphony Orchestra is a dynamic, innovative orchestra maintained by the Finnish city of Lahti. Major functions are, in addition to offering audiences a wide range of concerts, touring, recording and education. Its home is the Sibelius Hall, famous for its magnificent acoustics. The orchestra, together with its Principal Conductor Dalia Stasevska, seeks to recruit first-class players with good team-working skills.
The Lahti Symphony Orchestra invites applications for the positions of
Cello, co-principal and tutti starting on 14th August 2023.
Co-principal cello plays at orchestra and chamber groups, maintains the solo capability required by orchestral literature, leads (together with solo cello and principal) the cello section by exercising, supervising, and developing it, and provides instructions for acquiring group assistants and substitutes. We appreciate experience of similar tasks and good cooperation and interaction skills.
Tutti cellist plays at orchestra and chamber groups and maintains playing capability required by orchestral literature.
