CelloBello is thrilled to announce the return of the Audition Preparation Workshop!

CelloBello’s Audition Preparation Workshop is a virtual seminar designed to help prospective undergraduate and graduate students prepare for their school auditions, including the pre-screening process. This two-week intensive features masterclasses, private lessons, and panel discussions, all centered around empowering students with the tools to succeed in their auditions.

Our stellar faculty demonstrate a broad and diverse range of careers as soloists, chamber musicians, and master teachers. All participants receive a mix of private lesson and masterclass opportunities, in addition to engaging with the faculty in panel discussions. Come learn with the best!

Please note:

  1. All events will be held between 6:30 pm and 10:00 pm ET.
  2. All private lessons will be scheduled based on mutual availability between the teacher and student.
  3. Panel discussions and masterclasses will be recorded for those that are unable to attend live.

for student participants

Upon acceptance into the workshop, participants:

  • Will receive two opportunities for individual feedback, either through private lessons, masterclasses or a combination of the two. Every student will have at least one private lesson.
  • Can attend all masterclasses and participate in all panel discussions.
  • Will have access to archived footage of group classes and panel discussions for later viewing, available through the end of 2024.

CelloBello will accept as many students as possible, but must limit enrollment in order to keep the workshop as personal and valuable as possible for each individual student. Any student that we are unable to accommodate into the full program will have the opportunity to participate as an auditor (see ‘For Auditors’ section below). Financial assistance will be available for these acceptances.

2 contrasting works totaling ~8-10 minutes of music. Piano accompaniment is encouraged but not required, where applicable.

Applications for students are due by 11:59pm EDT on October 22nd!

fee structure

Application: Free
Tuition: $625 after acceptance
Financial Assistance: Available to accepted participants who demonstrate need.
