CelloBello Announces May 2025 In-Person Chamber Music Intensive in Boston
May 23–26, 2025 | Presented in partnership with Carriage House Violins, Chamber Music America, and New England Conservatory
CelloBello is thrilled to announce its 2025 In-Person Chamber Music Intensive, Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day). This dynamic four-day event invites string quartets and piano trios of all ages and levels—from pre-college,emerging young artists to passionate adult amateurs—to experience the joy of chamber music under the guidance of world-renowned artists. Perform — or Just Come Play for Fun!
The CelloBello Chamber Music Intensive is presented in collaboration with Carriage House Violins, Chamber Music America, and New England Conservatory, with activities held at the CHV Boston showroom and Jordan and Brown Halls at NEC.
Participants will benefit from a robust and engaging schedule, including:
- Coachings and masterclasses with members of the Borromeo, Cleveland, Isidore, Pacifica, Parker Quartets, the Horszowski Trio, pianist Pei-Shan Lee, cellist Emily Taubl, among other distinguished artists
- Mingle with the artists at breakfasts, receptions and a Farewell Lunch (all-included in fee)
- Evening reading parties, and a final participant concert for those that wish to perform.
- Special sessions with Chamber Music America panelists; presentations on Beethoven Notation by Nicholas Kitchen (Borromeo Quartet); Signaling and Tuning Principles in Ensembles by Paul Katz (Cleveland Quartet); instrument care by Rob Mayes of Carriage House Violins; and a Steinway-Spirio piano demo by Steinway Pianos.
- Gala concert in iconic Jordan Hall with Joshua Brown, violin; Pei-Shan Lee, piano; The Pacifica and Parker Quartets.
- Film night curated by CelloBello. Iconic performances and immortal comedy clips
- Opportunities to play rare, fine and historic instruments, onstage in legendary Jordan Hall (surcharge)
Cost: $1000 per participant -Includes all coachings, masterclass and concert performance opportunities, continental breakfasts, opening and closing receptions, final lunch, and admission to all events.

Pre-formed groups and individuals welcome; individuals will be thoughtfully placed into ensembles
